Partnerships

One driving factor in our success is the deep partnership we developed with our City Council and the City staff. From obtaining zoning changes and easements to collaboration with the Parks and Recreation committee, our work could not be accomplished without the City’s cooperation and guidance.

But the Foundation’s Mission Statement addresses the health, welfare and prosperity of the entire Mount Holly area. And we are fully aware of our location, which puts us at a pivotal point in the fast growth area of eastern Gaston County and the Catawba River. So we have reached out to other organizations whose similar interests enhance our vision. The Catawba Lands Conservancy; the Trailblazers;the Carolina Thread Trail organization; the Glenn Foundation and the Community Foundation of Gaston County; the Ruddick Foundation and our generous donors. Our members serve on the Boards of the Gaston Regional Chamber of Commerce and Belmont; the Gaston 2012 Collaborative Partners Committee and the Mountain Island Lake Marine Commission as well as several of the Mayor’s City committees.

We recognize that, by working together and utilizing the unique capabilities of each of these organizations, everyone benefits.
